4x4 Conversions from Colorado Camper Van

CCV now does complete 4wd conversions on ford vans. Our conversions use 2005 and newer axles and components. These conversions use coil spring f350 front axles, control arms, steering components, and sway bars. The rear axle is also swapped out with a matching rear super duty axle. There are no wheel adaptors or spacers used in the conversion. The reason we use the newer axles front and rear is because these axles have larger brakes, tighter turning radius, and beefier components, such as axle shafts, ujoints, and drive shafts creating a stronger more stable drive train than the older model dana 60 components. The new conversion forces you to upgrade to a 17 inch rim due to the large rotor size. When building a camper van and adding larger tires these oversized brakes are a real value to control the weight of these heavy vehicles. Using coil springs on the front axle gives you a superior ride quality and the spring rate can be easily changed to match the build out of your van and your driving habits. We have found this combination of parts to be the strongest conversion available.
